NQC and other things

Well, NQC starts next week. I'm sure it will be as great as ever. Unfortunately, for the first time in 15 years, I will be unable to attend. A work commitment that I just can't get out of is (probably going to make me miss). If anyone out there is reading this (ha, ha) and wants to comment on their experiences at NQC this year, please do. I will be back in full force next year!

Gaither Vocal Band and Signature Sound Quartet. It seems to me that this partnership has a TON of potential. I can't wait to see them together when they come around. I wonder if this is where the future of the Homecoming is? It could be a lot worse (well, I won't even go there).

The Booth Brothers' new CD, The Blind Man Saw It All, is one awesome recording. I would recommend it to all Booth Brothers fans as well as anyone else who likes good SG music with a lot of variety and great vocals and arrangements. No, The Booth Brothers didn't pay me to say all that! :D

Another mini-tour that I would like to catch is the Greater Vision Reunion tour. Anyone out there seen it? What is your opinion?

Gas prices! How in the world are SG groups going to continue (profitably) under these circumstances? Is this going to be the end of some of the mid to lower level groups?

Chris, thanks for reminding me of those! I agree that pooling talent and touring together is a great idea and I think would help with SG attendance. It would be nice to know how tours like these are doing attendance-wise compared to a normal 1 artist concert setting. I'm sure the SSQ/GVB tour will do quite nicely!
